URBANISTIC CONCEPT
The urban concept of the transformation of the CSA brown coal mine is based on a combination of 3 historical layers. We consider the first stage of development of the area to be the development of the communities before the mining activity started, the second is the coal mining until its planned end and the third is the stage of future development.
LAYERS
The first layer is inscribed in the design in the form of impressions of ground projections of villages (as points at the bottom of the mine with the monument) and significant roads - either in the form of a new road or in the form of another linear landscape element (tree planting, land art, ...). The second layer will consist of the preservation of the existing condition and the creation of memorials and commemorative sites in areas of significant original underground mines. The third layer will be oriented towards attaching attention, changing the popular view of the area and the current view of energy. As was the case in Ostrava's Lower Vítkovice area, the new structures are intended to enable a range of activities to attract the general public.
AXES
The subject of a more detailed solution is the aforementioned "3rd layer". Its layout is determined by spatial continuities. Mining activity has been restricted around Jezeří Castle, so a kind of spur has been created opposite the railway siding at Komořany, which is similarly excavated. Our aim is to include Jezeří Castle, as an object on the list of the most endangered monuments in Bohemia, in the overall solution. The direct connection of the artificial spurs creates a link between Komořany, which is easily accessible by road, and the castle. The transport system crossing the quarry is located on this axis stretching to the town of Most. Within the structure supporting this monorail, buildings for temporary accommodation, studios, research centres, etc. are integrated.
GROWTH
Because of their large scale, the objects are designed so that they can be implemented gradually in stages according to the possibilities and interests. At the same time, this system makes them adaptable to changes in traffic. In the initial phase, the stops of the transport system will be built and with them the foundations of the main buildings (the science centre at Komořany, the towers of the studios with a vertical auditorium for a floating stage, the accommodation facilities, and the Jezeří transfer station).
DESCRIPTION
The HIFI tower building is approximately in the middle of the axis above the quarry. As with the other objects, the tower's mass does not extend beyond the top of the footbridge. Only a suspended monorail stop is permitted above it. The filling of the tower consists of studios and the Vertical Auditorium with facilities.
The studios are conceived as independent cells so that they can be completed gradually and their filling can be adapted to the requirements of individual purchasers. The cells are accessible from the pavilions and are accessed by sliding polycarbonate elements. The grid of the cells is staggered to create more private corners of the balconies.
Below the level of the top walkway is an exhibition platform. On its perimeter, there is a permanent exhibition of the historical development of the area (with information on vanished villages, original underground mines, ...) and the rest of the space allows for temporary exhibitions of all kinds.
For the vertical auditorium, sufficient depth for a floating stage is required, as well as accessibility from the shore. This determines the location of the tower on the axis. For various performances on the floating platform, there is a capacity of about 3500 spectators.
POPIS
Objekt HIFI věže je přibližně uprostřed osy nad lomem. Stejně jako pro ostatní objekty platí i pro věž, že její hmota nepřekračuje vrchní lávku. Nad tou se smí nacházet pouze zastávka zavěšené jednokolejné dopravy. Náplň věže se skládá z ateliérů a Vertikálního hlediště se zázemím.
Ateliéry jsou koncipovány jako nezávislé buňky tak, aby mohly být dostavovány postupně a aby jejich náplň mohla být přizpůsobena požadavkům jednotlivých pořizovatelů. Buňky jsou přístupné z pavlačí a přistíněné posuvnými polykarbonátovými prvky. Rastr buněk je rozposouván tak, aby u nich vznikla soukromější zákoutí balkonů.
Pod úrovní vrchní lávky se nachází výstavní platforma. Na jejím obvodu je stálá expozice historického vývoje území (s informacemi o zaniklých obcích, původních hlubinných dolech, ...) a ostatní prostor umožňuje dočasné výstavy všeho druhu.
Pro účely vertikálního hlediště je zapotřebí dostatečná hloubka pro plovoucí jeviště a zároveň dostupnost ze břehu. To určuje umístění věže na ose. Pro účely různých vystoupení na plovoucí platformě zde vzniká kapacita pro cca 3500 diváků.
URBANISTICKÁ KONCEPCE
Urbanistický koncept přeměny hnědouhelného dolu ČSA je založený na kombinaci 3. historických vrstev. Za první stádium vývoje území považujeme rozvoj obcí před začátkem důlní činnosti, za druhé těžbu uhlí až do jejího plánovaného zakončení a třetí je stádium budoucího rozvoje.
VRSTVY
První vrstva se do návrhu propisuje formou otisků půdorysných průmětů obcí (jako bodů na dně dolu s památníkem) a významných cest - a to buď formou cesty nové a nebo formou jiného liniového krajinného prvku (stromořadí, land art, ...). Druhá vrstva bude tvořena zachováním současného stavu a vytvořením památníků a pietním míst v oblastech významných původních hlubinných dolů. Třetí vrstva se bude orientovat na připoutání pozornosti, změnu populárního názoru na území a na současný pohled na energetiku. Podobně jako tomu bylo v ostravské Dolní oblasti Vítkovic mají nové struktury umožnit řadu aktivit přitahujících širokou veřejnost.
OSA
Předmětem detailnějšího řešení je výše zmíněná ,,3. vrstva”. Její rozvržení je dáno prostorovými návaznostmi. Okolo zámku Jezeří byla důlní činnost omezena, a tak zde vznikl jakýsi ostroh, který se nachází naproti železniční vlečce při obci Komořany, jež je obdobně obkopána. Naším cílem je zapojit do celkového řešení i zámek Jezeří, jakožto objekt na seznamu nejohroženějších památek v Čechách. Přímým propojením umělých ostrohů zde vzniká návaznost mezi dobře dopravně dostupnými Komořany a zámkem. Na této ose protažené až do města Most je umístěný dopravní systém překračující lom. V rámci konstrukce nesoucí tuto jednokolejku jsou integrovány stavby pro dočasné ubytování, ateliery, výzkumná centra, atd.
ZARŮSTÁNÍ
Objekty jsou pro svůj velký rozsah navrženy tak, aby mohly být realizovány postupně v etapách dle možností a zájmu. Zároveň jsou díky tomuto systému přizpůsobivé změnám provozu. V úvodní fázi vzniknou zastávky dopravního systému a s nimi základ hlavních objektů (vědeCkého centra při Komořanech, věže ateliérů s vertikálním hledištěm pro plovoucí podium, ubytovací kapacity a přestupní stanice Jezeří).
