LOCATION
Mikulov is a town in the south of Moravia with a long traditionof wine-making. It lies in the sunniest region of the Czech Republic. The land on which this building is intended as a partof an area with many small vineyards called Za Kasárnami. It is a part of landscape park Pálava and together with the town of Mikulov they make demands on new buildings in the area. From the considered plot of land opens an amazing view ofthe surrounding landscape (Svatý kopeček, Turold, Janičůvvrch) and Mikulov. Mikulov je město na jihu Moravy s vinařskou tradicí. Nachází se v nejslunečnější oblasti České republiky. Zahrádkářská kolonie Za Kasárnami v níž leží zadaný pozemek je součástí CHKO Pálava a ta spolu s městem Mikulov klade nároky a omezení na výstavbu v této oblasti. Z pozemku na západním svahu se naskýtá výhled na Svatý kopeček, Turold, lom na Janičově vrchu a na okraj města Mikulov.
EMPLACEMENT
Emplacement of the building was based on positions of existing greenery and declivity of the land so it is possible to get sunlight into the basement and for the widest aisle to lead towards the building.
SHAPE
The initial shape was a rudimentary cube, oriented parallelly with the boundaries of the land. Removal of one corner segment redirected the view toward the southwest and created a terrace protected by the building. By putting only glass behind the removed segment the interior and exterior remain connected. A Gable roof is one of the restrictions in the area.
POPIS
Umístění objektu na pozemku bylo zvoleno na základě rozmístění stávající zeleně a svažování terénu, tak aby bylo možné přivést světlo do podzemního podlaží, aby širší ulička mezi vinicemi vedla k objektu. Těmto kritériím vyhovuje nejlépe místo stávajícího objektu.
Výchozím tvarem byla krychle orientovaná souběžně s podélnou hranicí pozemku. Vyjmutím její části se natočí výhled ze západu na jihozápad a zároveň vznikne objektem chráněné místo pro terasu. Prosklením za vyjmutou částí vznikne propojení interiéru s exteriérem. Sedlová střecha reaguje na kontext zástavby v oblasti.
